Aiken Kraft – Local Sponsor for The Bookshelf

The WCYR and the Volunteers with The Bookshelf would like to thank Cameron Aiken for his generous donation of two hand-crafted bookends to be included in our silent auction this June 25th at the Farmers’ Market in Newmarket.

Antique Horse TableCameron Aiken is the owner/operation of Aikenkraft Wood Creations, based in Sutton West, ON. He has generously donated a set of beautifully crafted bookends to our raffle/silent auction.

Cam graduated from York University with a BFA in Visual Arts in 1996 and a BEd in 2003. A painter by training, he most recently obtained his carpentry license and bought himself a sawmill in order to create unique designs from recovered and upcycled wood.

Cameron’s studio features one-of-a-kind pieces with a rustic appeal and original design, at once functional and appealing to the eye. His focus is commission work, including backyard treeforts and playscapes, one of a kind furnishings for any space, housewares and a host of other treasures he or his clients dream up.

Cam tends to make things he’s never made before and he loves a challenge. His Custom Tree Houseeclectic style appeals to one and all; be sure to look for his work on Pinterest, at studio tours and local craft shows.
